Overview
Mori is a detective who works for the Edogawa police department. Due to an old family feud, he has an extreme aversion to encountering foreigners and has been avoiding them. One day, he receives a call from a foreign phone number, and is soon tasked with finding a missing woman named Eiko. Soon he is given an assignment by the senior police officer, to investigate a seemingly routine case involving the kidnapping of children.
Plot
The main character of Detective Conan is Conan Edogawa, a middle-school detective living in the Edogawa District of Tokyo, Japan. He lives with his adopted mother Rika and adoptive father Shinichi, a part-time detective who works as a private detective for the investigation agency Shiba Investigation. He is also acquainted with his friend Ran, who is a high school detective. Conan's best friend is the police officer Shinichi Mori, who is Conan's father.
In his younger days, Conan was a delinquent who ran away from home and was in an orphanage when he was discovered by Mori. Mori took Conan to his family home, and eventually decided to adopt him. Mori occasionally took Conan with him to cases as a child detective, and he has often used Conan's talent as a detective.
One day, Conan helps the police to save a boy named Masa. Conan then receives a call from the boy's father to investigate the case further. However, the boy's father has been murdered, and Conan, his friend Ran, and the policemen investigate the case. Meanwhile, Conan's mother receives a call from the boy's school to let them know that the boy is missing. Eventually, Conan and the rest of the police team start investigating the case, and the murder victim is revealed to be a detective.
The investigation leads them to the town of Echigoya, where a local group of criminals
